Hello,
I have just found this site; thank you for being here. My 10-year old orange tabby neutered female, Serena, was recently diagnosed with diabetes. I have just started insulin shots and special diet, and she will go back to the vet for the first glucose curve analysis next week.
Thank you for the suggested use of the site, i.e. order of information research; it has already answered more fully some basic questions that my vet, although competent, didn't take the time to answer.
I am sure I will shortly have more questions, and requests to take advantage of the resources available through this site.

Isabella & Serena..... WELCOME TO THIS WONDERFUL PLACE! Bean and I are new to this too! only approx. 1 1/2 wks to 2 wks.... This place has helped me soo much and yes, answered more questions and had lots more ideas than the vet! Bean went for her 'curve day at the vet' Wednesday.... counts were 200 over the original count when we started in the previous week. I got her home that day, and the very next day we were back at the vet testing for a uti.... which she has and now is taking antibotics for! this was after she started spot t-ting in all corners etc....
I went shopping for some low carb food per the list on this site, treats per this site and different syringes per this site ..... walmart has great prices, 31 gauge and 1/2~ lady there was wonderful as well..... Found a pet center called Cats Unlimited! Great lady...walked in with my printed list of the right foods/treats from this site... and she was helpful, sold me some "sample" sizes! Keep looking on here, everyone is here to help!

Boy am I a ditz. I read the tennis comment and I was like "what on earth is she talking about"...DUH!

These cats are very cute. At one time I had an orange and a buff tabby too!

They are too cute! I am very partial to orange kitties, My Saatz is the same pale color as Venus. They are way to adorable together in their bed!
