I just wanted to give a big thank you for all the guidance I received the past week....We thought we were going to lose Cookie last week....she hit a downward spiral and was so very sick...it was just awful...one vet thought it was neuropathy and other vet thought it was her back "breaking down" from being overweight..whatever it was...she is doing SO much better and I could not be more happy...she is walking fine and jumping up on things...she is even starting to walk on her toes! She's eating and drinking like normal...and the constipation even has gotten better....The best thing though..thanks to good advice on here..she has not had insulin since Friday morning last week and her numbers are ranging from 84 to 126. I believe the good advice I rec'd here was what got her there...I switched her to Fancy Feast Classic pate and I believe that is what helped her...she also had a UTI..so with antibiotics she should be good as new soon..I hope she continues to improve ...because this fur mom is so thankful. I am so glad I found this forum...and I hope I can come back and help others as I was helped. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I had to share it with the people who got us here...and I know it will give people the hope they need with their furbabies...it did me when I first came to this forum...without it I may have made a decision that I would have regretted....with this forum I knew her condition could be reversed..I am so thankful. I hope I can help someone in the same way someday. Pay it Forward :)

Don't stop testing. When my cat was first in remission I tested every few days the first month, then once a week for a while, then like every 2-3 weeks. A year later she came out of remission and I caught it because of testing.
