Good morning everyone. It's been a difficult couple of days for my little guy. Here's my notes from yesterday:
Little to no eating at breakfast; 1/6 mirtazapine given @ +2.5. Ate a little bit of LC FF(tuna). Offered 4 different kinds of food, Fortiflora sprinkled over the top and only picked at them but acting like he's hungry. Sniffs, turns away. Eventually ate some offals I cooked up. 1/4 tab Cerenia given at +8. Ate some more offals and a little bit of dinner LC FF (salmon). No eating overnight.
And notes from today:
Turning away from breakfast today. Offered 4 different kinds of food and offals but not interested. Sniffs and turns away. Otherwise acting fairly normal. 1/2 tab Cerenia given at +1. Will wait a little for this to take effect then given another 1/4 tab mirtazapine and see if he eats.
He's acting like he's nauseous based on how he turns away from his food. He went up to his food numerous time yesterday but didn't really eat a lot. Today he's not interested at all. I'm trying all the tricks. I'm going to give mirtazapine soon and try again. Someone told me that if I give it and he's nauseous, it can turn him off of his food and I don't want that. I will cook up some chicken for him too and try this, perhaps the tuna juice trick too. I might have to go with syringe feeding if he continues to refuse, though.
I hope he starts to turn around. Take care everyone.

I hope my son learns better through the example we set at home. He likes to watch vet shows so he hears and sees time-and-time again how important spaying and neutering is for health and animal control (his father doesn't do this either), as well as seeing medical procedures to save animals for owners who really care.
