With a tip of the hat to Robin-S, I too decided to test my other cats this afternoon using my ReliOn meter. It wasn't just for the heck of it though; it was because they ALL have been drinking a lot of water lately. Well, here's the rundown:
Big Red = 50
Woolly B = 65
Tennessee Tuxedo = 55
Punkin Pie = 34
Okay, I totally realize Punkin's is BAD on the hypo side. I gave him some of the Friskies mixed grill that I won't feed to Long John AND laced it with honey. God love him! What about the others though? I would say they were in the low normal range but I'm new to this and don't trust myself. I fed them ALL the mixed grill though.
As I stated in another post, I haven't tested Rosalee yet. I'll need my husband for that...and probably some kevlar gloves.
Should I keep monitoring Punkin for hypOglycemia?
