Terumo discontinuing insulin syringes

I just got back from vacation with my girlfriend who informed me that Terumo will no longer be making insulin syringes. I am a huge fan of the ThinPro syringes so I am buying them up wherever I can find them. Terumo feels that there is more profit to be made in pen needles. I think they will stop producing the syringes by the end of the year so we still have some time to stock up.

They have also discontinued the UTW used for sub-q fluids. Wonder what the issue is.

I think the issue is, as always.... bottom line. They simply weren't making enough of a profit on these products.
