Terrified to start

please tell me I’m not weird for being absolutely terrified of injecting my cat.... I’ve literally had the syringe prepared and ready but I can never get her to stay still long enough where I am comfortable injecting. I’m desperate for tips and tricks as I need to start ASAP.

I inject around the scruff or a little further down and to the side. I do not do it while Mia is eating, but I did use that trick in the early days.

When I was in med school, we started on tomatoes: push the syringe until it pops under the skin (peel).

Between the shoulder blades lifted part of skin and push back hair.. That is how I mostly do it and Simba does'nt even notice.. Chest and side is also easy sometimes. Lots give while eating but HE WILL NOT put up with that. Don;t bother me when I am eatin he says to me - LOL.. The shot is the easy part for me... taking a good BG was challenging in the beginning. They know you love them and will give you a pass about getting it done. Don't give up!
