Syringes in NY state - do you need a script (Watertown)

I might drive down to the US (Watertown) on Saturday and pick up some diabetes supplies. I was told yesterday how cheap the relion syringes are.

If I don't need a script I would buy a couple boxes of 100 - the savings would pay for the gas. Then I'd buy a relion meter and 250 strips and save 75$ on the strips.

Do any of you know?

Without a prescription, I *believe* you can get only 10 at a time. That's the rule in New York City anyway - unsure if that's a city or state law.

Did your vet give you a script the first time you got your syringes? I'm thinking that maybe if you use a pharmacy like walmart or cvs they could transfer the original script? You could also call the ny pharmacy that you would be going to and ask? I just found out we don't need a script here in mass... such strange laws.

Dang I told my mom not to get diabetes supplies too darnit. Now that she knows she has that extra limit (duty free) for Christmas shopping I can't burst her bubble.

I think I'm just going to order the strips and meter online, ship it to my aunts house and ask her to ship it up to me.
