Hello,
My vet gave us 10 U40 syringes with the bottle of insulin and the vet tech told us we could get them much cheaper at Walmart or one of those type of pharmacies. My poor husband has been to Walmart, PriceChopper, Walgreens and CVS and none of them carry the 40's.

I think CVS may have the 100's. What do I do? Where do we find them without paying a dollar a piece for them from the vet? CVS won't even honor the prescription without talking to the vet first about using the 100's which I would prefer not to buy even though I know we can use them. Is there a conversion table. How do you all get the 40's?

TIA!

I don't use them, but I know that someone here has a link to a conversion chart for using U100 syringes with U40 insulin. That might be helpful.
You might be able to order U40 syrninges online from American Diabetes Wholesale (see link above). I'm not sure about CT laws, but it could be worth a look.

Thanks...going to get 10 from the vet tomorrow and ordered online via the link above. They should be here soon. So much cheaper online from AWD anyway. Got some test strips and keto sticks as well.
