Duffy is still being syringe fed. He hates it. I need to up the calories. Been feeding him Nutro single portions with a dash of salmon oil and a teaspoon of a high calorie multi vitamin gel. And I'm maxing out at around 250 calories per day, in 3 feedings, he needs about 375. He's a big cat. I read somewhere about adding egg yolk to the food. Would raw egg be safe for a still immune compromised cat? Vets aren't answering questions.

a little extra virgin olive oil for his coat and digestion (hairballs too) ? -- coconut oil would work as well but it solidifies at about 72*

what about powdered egg? particularly the egg whites -- can get, I think, at health food store or restaurant supply -- possibly camping/outdoor store or military surplus

Egg if he accepts it (not all cats like egg) is a very good option but you do need to cook it, to avoid any bacteria and also because raw egg white can interfere with the absorption of vitamins and nutrients in cats, and I if his kidneys are ok would give it whole, the egg whites are an excellent source of low carb high quality protein and egg yolks have tons of vitamins

You could also add chicken stock to the mix, that will add liquid that makes the syringe feeding easier and a very good amount of nutrients and calories, and if he doesn't have a problem with a bit of extra fat, you can prepare the stock cooking the chicken with the skin that will add flavor that they love and calories too

I was giving my civie butter, about half a spoon three times a day. He loved it, put on some weight, nice coat and nice poops too.
