I am giving my cat 1.5 of insulin twice daily with Ulticare U 100 (3/10 cc - 31 gauge x 5/16") (.25 mm x 8mm). The manufacturer makes boxes of 60 and 100 syringes. Only the 60 count box has 1/2 unit markings and cost much more per syringe than the 100 count box without 1/2 unit markings.
Am sure there are other syringes with half markings or other size syringes that use whole number and their size would convert to 1.5 marking on this syringe. I need to provide the vet with options for her to approve the use of another syringe.
FYI: Box of 60 is about $20 vs. box of 100 is about $25.
