Switching to Lantus soon

Taco is currently on Novolin (1 month on the 23rd) and I finally was able to get my vet to give me a script for Lantus. I am very excited to be switching and hoping he will do better!
Are there any concerns or steps to take when switching insulin? From what I understand, Lantus and Novolin are pretty different.

Hi Brandi. I’m glad you’re switching to Lantus, it’s a great insulin and I think you’ll like it. It is different than Novolin though, so I suggest you go to the Lantus forum and read up on it. Then you can post there or here and ask any questions you have. Good luck with the switch!
