Switching Readers Freestyle Freedom Lite -> Relion Micro

Hi All,

I am switching readers from Freestyle Freedom Lite to the highly recommended Relion Micro.

Lee Lu has been doing well, I've only tested her a few times since her last curve, but she's been in the 77-144 range on 1.5 u of Lantus 2x daily. NOT BAD!!

To those who have switched readers, what should I expect? I will try to use both readers at once to see the similarities in reads, but I am not sure if Lee Lu will allow that LOL

I made the switch a couple years ago. At that time, there was an issue with the Freestyle butterfly strips reading a lot lower in the higher number range (anything over 200). Check out the first few weeks of Neko's 2012 SS compared to after when we switched to the Relion Confirm (same as the Micro). That was a couple of years ago - I don't know if the problem still exists. Since your kitty is mostly in the below 200 range, it may not be an issue. Doing a few side by side comparisons, especially in the higher numbers, will help.

I just switched from my meter to the ReliOn Micro and tested it on myself,(to spare my kitty the extra pokes ), and it is reading 11 digits lower than my other one.This was in the low 100 range though. I want to use both next time I test him as he is in the upper 200' s..curious if that will be 11 off.
