any suggestions on getting 2 of my cats to eat canned food?

beeber, the diabetic, loves it (thank goodness), but the other 2 don't want anything to do with it ( cat(2)_steam cat(2)_steam ). don't want to leave bowls out as beeber will get into it and i don't want that.

suggestions, PLEASE!!!!!

Cats can be picky. You might want to try several types/flavors to see if you can find something they like.

Or try putting some cooked chicken in the food.....

Dr. Lisa has tips on her web site: http://catinfo.org/docs/Tips for Transitioning PDF 1-14-11.pdf

Some cats are easier to transition to canned food than others. You just need to have lots of patience with the stubborn dry food addicts and not give up. Try a little FortiFlora sprinkled on the canned food. FortiFlora is made with animal digest, the same stuff that dry food is coated in to make it yummy and addicting. You can buy FortiFlora online.

Try some active play before feeding to elicit the natural hunt, catch, 'kill', eat, eliminate, groom, sleep cycle.

Warming the canned food helps release the smell and simulates the temp of just killed prey.
