Right when I got up this morning, I saw Chewie in the box peeing, and when I scooped 5 minutes later it seemed she made a pretty small clump (can’t be 100% sure it was hers). Her BG preshot is at 421 this morning. I’m going to extra hydrate her and keep an eye on her trips to the box, as I know the risk of UTI is high in sugar kitties.

Normally I would try D-mannose for a day or two before heading to the vet, but with her I’m scared waiting could cause ketones. Best to just head straight to the vet for a urinalysis?

If you can get to the vet, that sounds smart. D Mannose won't hurt, but in my experience, E coli (what D Mannose can cure) hasn't been the only cause of the UTIs. Zenequin as a broad based antibiotic has worked every time at my house (as opposed to Clavamox).

Watching Chewie closely is smart too;)

I just gave her D-mannose in "soup" and am keeping a close eye on her this morning (her favorite napping spot is feet away from my desk, and I stalk her to the box like a helicopter mom). She is acting more social than she has in a while, and one of my other cats will occasionally leave small clumps, so there's a chance it might not be hers.
Great tip for the zenequin, Chewie is allergic to clavamox so usually she gets clindrops instead - if I take her to the vet I'll make sure to ask for that.
