I guess I misspoke. My cat is on lantus. He was over 500 glucose level. He now ranges between 130 and 170. He will not eat wet food. He is a kibble boy. I’m just thankful that he switched to purina pro care DM dry food. I ordered the wet too, won’t eat. He doesn’t want treats. He just wants his kibble. So I was wondering if supplements for the pancreas would help in this process. To add to this, my vet was “surprised” that I have been testing and tracking his glucose. I don’t feel that they are supportive towards healing just treating. I hope this makes sense

Have you looked at a low carb dry food?
The DM dry is high carb Post 4 in this Thread has info re low carb dry food.
Please keep hometesting. if you set up a spreadsheet we could help you more.
I would stick to suitable food, hometesting and Lantus as your best bet to treat your kitty.

So there is lower carb dry food? This is where I feel I’m being failed by my vet. I told them he won’t eat anything but dry and that is what she prescribed

I just ordered the new food. Hoping this switch goes easier than the first. When I say he only wants kibble it’s way too true. I have offered him tuna and he will sniff it and walk away. Lol
