Sugar is 27 but not symptomatic

So I accidentally gave Ben too much insulin tonight. It's now +4 and his sugar is 27. He's acting fine for the most part. Pupils are dilated but he is walking around. Just gave him some gravy lovers food. Here's the kicker. I just came home from work for a few minutes to check him. And I'm going to have to go back to work in about a half hour.
 
Take him to ER/vet if you have to go back to work, or call out, or feed a lot of food and hope things work out :/ Like Brenda said I'd be putting honey on gums, giving gravy which you already did, and perhaps some dry food if you have any for longer term. I'd get him to where someone can monitor though. That's a low, low #. Also I see you accidentally gave too much insulin. I'd cut my losses and bring him to ER if late or vet if open, call your boss and say you need a few minutes.
 
Your only option is going to be to steer with food. If it were me, I would be putting syrup on gums NOW. My baby went hypo with no symptoms also. This can happen!

Yeah. It's a higher dose than usual and only around +4 too. Things could and probably will go lower.
 
I agree with all who've posted above: If you can't stay with him, he needs to be under ER/vet care immediately!
 
Took him to work with me while I found someone to take my place. So we are now 44 @+5 after 1/2 can of FF gravy lovers and a little Karo on gums.
 
You need to give him a little more of the Gravy lovers....we need to get him above 50 (and preferably a little higher) before you stop feeding. Even once he's above 50, you're going to need to keep testing for 2 hours after the last time he had any food/Karo

We suggest just giving as much of the "gravy" part as possible since that's where most of the carbs are and we don't want them to fill up and not be willing to eat later if you need them to.

What I do is pop the top and put it back on and then "squeeze" the gravy into a bowl so I can feed just the gravy with a little of the meat so if I need China to eat again, she's not full. It's messy, but it works!
 
Thanks Chris. Just rechecked him and he is 43 at the +6 mark. His nadir is usually are +7-8 so I still have a few hours to go. Gave him more gravy. Anything else I should be giving him?
 
439 this morning which I know is a bounce from the low numbers last night. Ben was a trooper through it all and acted just fine no matter what his sugar was. The only bright side of it all was the look on my boss's face ( Who is deathly allergic to cats ) when I came back to work with Ben in a carrier. I told him I needed to find somebody to work for me or it was going to be "take your hypoglycemic cat to work night."

Wasn't your allergic boss, at least a bit curious about your testing procedure? I mean, it seems totally mundane to us fur parents..but to bystanders, they're usually incredulous!

He's heard stories for the past year about Ben's diabetic jounery so the testing thing wasn't any surprise. I think the shock was more from the fact that I brought my cat to the hospital with me.
