Sugar-free MSM for cats - is there a product like this?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to find an MSM product for cats to help with Karre's arthritis and joint stiffness, but so far the only products I can find all contain sugar, e.g. "Flexicose", 1g of sugar/serving, which I know is not exactly a pile of sugar, but I wouldn't want anything to jeopardize Karr'es wonderful run of OTJ-Months (22 and counting).

Has anyone ever seen or used an MSM product for feline arthritis, and if so, which one, and did it contain sugar, and how did that affect the kittys' FD status and regulation?

Jane

Looks like its made by Vetri-Science. Jess feels comfortable with this company. I wasnt sure it was safe for cats due to the sulphur but I guess it is, although the peteducation link says there have been no studies.

I also wanted to mention that my Merlyn loved his Zukes Hip Action treats that have glucosamine in it.

There is also Cosequin and Dasuquin both from Nutramax labs

that can help with arthritis.

There is a company in the UK that do very high spec joint supplements for pets and horses called Riaflex. Much higher spec than cosequin (which my vet gave me) and half the price. I think they post anywhere. They are really helpful over the phone also. Some (not all) of their supplements are sugar free.
