Does anyone know of a website that sells subQ fluids?
Also, I haven't been on the messageboards in a while so I wanted to update everyone about Dennis since everyone on here has been so helpful in the past.
A few weeks ago he was diagnosed with kidney failure, although he has improved over the past three weeks due to the daily subQ fluids he's getting at home. Yesterday's check up determined that, due to the kidney failure, he is slightly anemic. Dennis is starting a drug trial on Monday to correct the anemia. I'm not sure what the medication is called but it's specifically for anemia that stems from kidney failure. From what I understand, there is only one medication for cats with this issue, and it's made for humans and cats can develop antibodies. However, this study is for the feline version of the medication. He's going to remain on SubQ fluids for the foreseeable future, which is why I'm wondering if there are alternative places to buy them (I think it's $20 a bag at the vet).
In regards to his diabetes, Dennis has gone from 6u of Vetsulin, 2x a day to 0.5u 2x a day! He had a fructosamine done yesterday, and the vet said the dose is perfect!
Thank you to everyone that has helped us get through all of the rough patches since his diagnosis. You're all amazing!

This is great news! I'm delighted for you both.
