SubQ fluids--a question

I just saw on Tanya's crf site that you should dispose of the bag of fluids after it is opened 10 days. Mine has been opened longer and it not yet finished. Should I throw it out? What is the danger?

If you are careful and do not let the end of the line touch the ground when changing needles etc, and there is nothing changed about the bag like coloration or floaties, finishing it within 2 or 3 weeks is probably fine. Merlyn was getting 100 a day split in half, and then he could only handle 50 a day. I used every bag to the end.

I agree with Lisa, three weeks is fine if you were careful.
