Nice going. After testing Lucy, I stuck myself with the lancet! Just a teeny prick. Should I be worried? About me, for once, not Lucy! She had a nice reading of 83, hasn't been on insulin since last summer. We are so fortunate. I just check occasionally.
Nah, long as she's had her shots.... LOL.
Just clean the site good w/ soap and water and put some Neosporin on it.
T'would be much more worrisome if it had been used by a human first.

I feel ya gal... LOL
I been sticking people for near 40 years and got my worst wound from the 18 guage I was using to do sub q fluids on my poor Sam last year. I went right through his skin and into my finger.
I bled like a stuck pig and felt like an idiot.
BTW, Nusiance is just beautiful! I've never heard them called "funny face" before but it sure is fitting

Me too! I'm amazed Grayson doesn't bleed when the needle comes out, cuz I sure did!
Also got a prick from one of those kitty brushes. OUCH!!! It was right after Grayson was DX'ed, so I came in and tested my blood! Apparently, I'm not as sweet as he is!
...and I definitely think the chocolate will help minimize any risks.
I've had countless lancet sticks and a couple of "thru and thru" shots when *shudder* I manged to go all the way thru the tent of skin and into my hand.
Then I found the shorter needles. Those things are a godsend!
I stuck myself several times, and always used the opportunity to test myself. I swear I could hear Bob chuckle every time I did it.
Then he stopped thinking it was funny when I ate one of his post test shrimps.
