I managed to get one pre-shot blood this morning, but no more testing for now. It is not working.
I cannot get enough blood for the meter to read the few times I get blood. Both his ears are now bruised from multiple sticks and he will not let me handle his feet. I've tried bribes, larger lancets and Vaseline.
Tried the cat taco thing and have scratches all down my arms as a result.
This is taking between 20 to 30 minutes each try and I'm only getting 1 good test out of 5 tries.
Foxy is hiding behind the stove and I am fed up.
I have work to do on the weekends and I work during the week. I cannot invest 2 to 3 hours a day in testing.
I'll try again next weekend but not till then. I'll keep his insulin at half dose till then so he won't go hypo on me.
