We are working on balancing out Maxwell's glucose, but in the mean time he has an excess of really smelly urine. I think I have tried every kind out there, but none are very good at masking that smell or even able to deal with the amount of urine he manages to produce. Either the clay glues to the bottom or other kinds can't even absorb the urine so it floats on top. Does any one else have this issue? Is this normal for a diabetic cat? And what litters are you all using? I mention it to my vet but she never really gives me an answer on what this could mean.
but it's well worth it when it comes to smell. The crystals are very porous and they absorb and lock moisture in as well as odour. They also stay dry to touch so there's no wet paws
