Good Morning...for the fifth time.....my post continues to get deleted!

So, one more time......and to the point!

Kitty has had a Pretty Good Weekend! She is spending most of her time on the sunporch, but when I check on her, I am finding her sitting up and moving around more than recently. Her BGs have been everywhere--preshots ranging from low 100s to mid 500s. I did some mid cycle testing yesterday and it appears she is zooming at +7. She is remaining in the mid 100s for most of the cycles. How vividly I remember why we started TID.

The Smell that I mentioned yesterday......my vet came by and "sniffed" Kitty! She picked her up and smelled her head and said...."Musky!" It appears that Kitty just Stinks! Trust me, I know that is NOT what it is. The smell is very distint and in her head area primarily. I really think the smell is the result of meds leaching out through her pores. The vet did say that it did not smell like Uremia....kidney disease. The vet school internalist encouraged me to check Kitty's ears for a fungus as the culprit of "the smell"-- but, my vet nor I saw any indication of that. So, for now.....Kitty Just Stinks!

Chewy is Eating and Eating.....Did I mention Eating?! He is a Pig! I caught him this morning sprawled out on his back asleep-- he is very content. He sits by the back glass door and waits for me when I go out! He is a Good Cat!

Enough for now.....before I lose my post....

Wishing Everyone a Good and Peaceful day form a Cloudy and Overcast Diabetic Alley......

~O) Morning,

I'm so happy that Ms. Kitty is happy and more active even if she is stinky. :-D

Good boy Chewy, eat, sleep, stalk the birdies. Life doesn't get much better than that.

It had finally stopped raining here, yay!!

Afternoon 'Sweet'hearts!

What you're describing is exactly what I'm smelling on Scruffy - since they're on some of the same heart meds, I agree that it's the meds leaching out but why there I don't know.

HUGS TO ALL!

Hi!

Hey, Kitty, stinky is OK as long as you keep on eating and moving around! Glad you are moving because that prevents an accumulation of fluid in one spot in your lungs and, thus, possible pneumonia. So, good going! If you ever want to rest for a long time, ask your mom to carry you and move you from side to side, upside down, etc! Chewy keeping you company? Kim, please do not answer - this is just a private message for Kitty!!!

All my best, Sophie
