Still new :) does a blood clot affect reading

Hi, Just curious,

I swear I saw it on a site, but only once.

If I get a bg read and there is a blood clot aka glob on the end of the test strip will this affect the reading. The site I saw it on said it will make the reading appear lower.

I have not heard of it either way
I would just retest the BG
