Good Morning LL! Time for lots and lots of
Stella's Condo
Well, it looks as though Stella's run down the dose stairway has just taken a pause. I am so happy with this 'rapid' reduction. I am hoping it is an indication of Stella's ability to further heal and repair herself to good health and well being. It's been a long time for Stella to be struggling to bring herself back to her former glories of a healthy and happy cat. Apparently, she has found her little bit of healthy happiness this week! She is down over 1U in this week alone! We were at a 3F all year and this morning we are at 2S. Whew. And with no major bounce, swings or drama. Just the way it should be!
Everything is in it's place. Both kitties have much better poop. I have to think this is their new diet. They both seem to have an extra bounce. Stella needed an extra bounce, because she wasn't looking 'comfortable' because of her former stomach bloat. It has taken a long time to find a kibble that they will both eat and not throw up. I hope this one stays a 'good' one, because one or the other of my kitties ends up allergic or with stomach upset. Cross your fingers this one that makes them 'regular' will stay a good one.
I looked at the food charts, and it turns out the current can of Wellness (Beef and Salmon) is the highest carb of all of our grain free cans. I knew it without looking because of Stella's numbers. Ironically, their favorite Turkey and Herring is only one point lower at 8. So with 6-9 carbs each can it is a good thing I found the Zero Carb kibble cat food! It took us so long to find Wellness as a food they could both eat happily with no upsets.
I would like to say that I was about to raise Stella to a '2' but she was talking with that 'too much' tone kitty meow. With a tiny bit of hesitation I decided to let Stella make the call and I held it at 2S. Her +2/115 looks promising. I think its very funny how she is letting me know and I am listening. I guess it is like a human diabetic knowing. Sometimes numbers aren't everything...just a guideline. Only the living thing getting the insulin really knows. I am glad Stella has let me know how to listen to her. Yep. Crazy Cat Lady signing out.
