Cass is getting pretty close to the end of his first bottle of prozinc. Is there anything I need to worry about when switching to a new vial? I know to note it on the SS and keep on eye on his numbers for the first couple days in case it's stronger. Anything else?

Oh, and thanks.

Hi Lisa,

I don't have anything to add on your ProZinc question but I wanted to know how long your bottle lasted.

5-5.5 months...but I was giving really small doses (under 1u) for most of that. At one point we had him down to .2 u.

good morining Lisa and cass cat_pet_icon callie is on her 3rd vial of insulin and every time I start a new one I cut back just a hair the first time just to be safe ! ;-) fingers and paws crossed for good numbers for cass :YMHUG:

I have found out that some bottles can be stronger than others
so if you want to back off just a hair, but I also think that Cassie has room
to go down....up to you,.
