? Start new insulin or no?

Hello, a few days ago I posted about my vet agreeing I needed to get my kitty off Vetsulin and try something like Semglee/Lantus. She ordered it, the pharmacy has yet to let me know it is ready for pickup but now I’m debating I need to buy a new insulin if it’s possible to stay on this one since it seems we are nearing remission or if it will be worth it to still make the switch? Can someone please look at our progress on the spreadsheet and advise? Thank you!

I am thinking give her a few more days off insulin and see how she does, she's in a pretty good range and I'd hate to spend the money on Lantus before waiting a little bit.

For whatever reason, this happens sometimes with Vetsulin cats - they continue to drop in BG a little more after going off insulin.
 
Thanks. That’s what I was thinking and planning to do but didn't know if I would be making a mistake doing so. And So far the pharmacy hasn’t called me to tell me it’s in yet so I’m just going with it. I’m worried if she started to go back up, do I then get the Lantus or try small dosing again of the vetsulin? Or I guess I can cross that bridge when I get there?

I would make that decision based on finances honestly. Lantus/its generics are better at the lower doses and keeping things flatter longer so their pancreas can heal. That said, I'm not sure how much you'll have to pay for it (going rate seems to be pretty cheap though for generics). So if money is tight, I would be trying drop dose-0.1U of Vetsulin - tbd based on what her numbers look like.
