STALLING- help please!!

Can’t decide if I should shoot a just a needle dose right now or none at all…. That is what I shot this morning and held off on leaving the house until +3, around when he usually hits his low point. He ate slightly lower carb today than yesterday (from about 5% to 3%)

shoot same dose and feed the 5% carb? Feed lower carb food and don’t shoot? I’ll retest in 20 but he has stayed the same (99-98) since his last test 3 hours ago.
 
20 minutes turned into 40 after putting the baby to bed… Mickey waswaiting very patiently for his dinner . Took two tests back to back (104 and 98) I know if i shoot then I’ll have to stay up to monitor and I’d like to sleep tonight BUT also don’t want to hinder progress and a shot at remission.
 
I would shoot a drop of insulin and get a +1 and +2 to start with and feed the 5% food.
You have shot preshots very close to todays preshot before.
Post the results here and we will watch for them

You are right, I have shot at 112 which really isn’t that far off from 98 but the color change from blue to green makes it seem more dramatic! Maybe that’s what’s tripping me up…. I agree, a drop dose is probably best.
I’ll put on a cup of coffee for myself while I’m at it

Just noticed your signature about your Sheba girl. I lost my Minnie(Mickey’s sister) in March of 2017 after a long battle with FeLv. Still think about her every day even though we’re coming up on 5 years so I know your pain. Thank you for continuing to be here and using your experience to help others ♥️♥️♥️♥️
 
+2 ended up being +2.5, got caught up with a waking baby, but it was 92. At this time of posting we’re almost at +3 anyway so I’ll test one more time before bed

I thought you might have got caught up with the baby.:) You have your hands full!
Did you give him another snack?

Yes! I tend to leave his bowls out all day/night other than the two hours pre-shot. He’s more of a grazer than a big meal kind of guy. He stayed pretty level at his +3 so I went ahead and fell asleep, seemed like that needle dose didn’t do much… or maybe that’s just what he needed. Not sure
