Squirt- hoarse voice

Hi all.

Squirt, my indoor/outdoor guy has a hoarse voice when he meows. He does not appear be sick. He's eating and drinking ok. It's been cold and rainy here so I wonder if the weather has anything to do with it?

I appreciate any thoughts on this.

Could be the rain causing allergies. I believe voice change can be associated with lots of stuff but most often upper respitory infections. If not a URI then stress or allergies. If the change continues I might consider a vet visit and have the throat checked to make sure there's nothing going on, like a growth of some kind.

One of my cats lterally lost her meow for a week when she had an upper respiratory infection. When she opened up her mouth all that came out was a funny squeaky noise. Once we knew it was nothing serious it was almost funny. She was part siamese and went from being a big talker to squeaking like a mouse. About a week later she was back to howling again.

He is part Siamese as well. His mom was/is a purebred Siamese.

He is hard to grab so I will try to grab him on Saturday and bring him in. He does seem to be eating ok and all of that.

Henry had a couple of URI's a while back and was all sneezy and drippy. None of that here.

One of my cats had a hoarse voice for 3-4 days a couple weeks ago. He's quite a talker, so all I could figure was that he wanted in when no one was listening. He had no other symptoms of anything and it cleared up on it's own.
