O.k. I have the spreadsheet, but I'm new to a diabetic cat, and I don't know what the short form terms are in the chart.

AMPS, What r they?

the U?

PMPS???

Can't really fill it out until I know what terms are.

AMPS - Morning Pre Shot
PMPS - Evening Pre Shot

Basically the meter readings before you feed and give insulin. (Even if you don't give insulin) The +1, +2, etc. are all extra hours beyond your first reading if you do mid day readings or a curve.

AMPS - morning (AM) pre-insulin blood glucose level
PMPS - evening (PM) pre-insulin blood gluocse level
U - units of insulin given

The + numbers indicate hours after the insulin shot. If you test 2 hours after the insulin was given, you would record that number in the +2 column for that date.

Comments - Just that  People use this section to note if their cat threw up, new insulin was started, vet visit, any other meds given, etc.

Take a look at other's spreadsheets to get a general idea of how people are using it. You'll find the link to a spreadsheet in most people's signature.

Just looking at spreedsheet...I down loaded the world one b/c I live in canada...it looks like I still have to convert the BG to us numbers myself, is this correct?
And what is peoples's signature, I don't know what that means or where that is???

"people's signature"

MY signature is at the bottom of each of my postings. Mine has our names as well as links to KT's profile, his spreadsheet and in our case, a link to my DH's disease that we deal with every day. You can create your OWN signature using the 'User Control Panel'. You'll find that link just underneath the 'FDMB' logo at the top of the page. I THINK 'signature' is under 'Profile'. After you build it once, it will appear at the bottom of each of your posts.

Keep asking questions - we LOVE questions!

BIG HUG!!!

Hi, if you look at the top left hand side of the page (below 'board index') you'll see 'user control panel'. Click on that, and then click on the 'profile' option to edit/add your signature. For the kind of things you can add see my 'signature' below my message.

Re translating numbers to US numbers, yes, it is helpful, as most folks here are from the US. Basically it means multiplying 'rest of the world' ( )numbers by 18; or conversely, dividing US numbers by 18.

Thank-You, Thank-You, Thank-You, all of you are very wonderful. I was able to figure out the chart, and publish it! And now I know how to convert the numbers.

Spreadsheet looks great! I like purple, too...So now that you have that posted, are you only giving insulin once a day?
