I use both the freestyle libre 14 and the Alphatrak 3 to measure BG.
I have been forced to use both almost equally for a few reasons, and I was wondering if there is a better spreadsheet to use, pet meter, or human meter?
Should I use both?
Or is there a great way to put both measurements on the same spreadsheet?
I saw in a Q&A somewhere on these forums that someone was advised to draw a line across the SS to let others know that a different device was used. Is that a good method?

Are you likely to use the libre much moving forward? or are you planning to move over to using the handheld meter?
I will tag @Bandit's Mom to see if she has any ideas about the SS.
You may just have to use the pet meter SS and note when the BG is a libre BG.
If you swapped to using a human meter, you could just use the human meter SS for both.

Planning to use the libre more, until (fingers crossed) he goes into remission. Once his numbers begin lowering (as they did today by increasing by .25) I’ll Alphatrak test for more accuracy, while still using the libre. I’m overwhelmed so lots of questions and confusion.

Deep breaths :bighug:, there is a lot to process, just take it one step at a time. It might make more sense since you are primarily going to use the Libre to set up a spreadsheet for human meter, and on those tests where you want to catch a back up test with the AlphaTrak you can perhaps reference that in the remarks. For a number of weeks when I first switched from the AT2 to human meter, and occasionally thereafter that’s what I did. The dosing methods we follow here use the human meter anyway and more members are familiar with those numbers, so perhaps it is best to just carry the Libre consistently in your spreadsheet.

Then I think I would swap to the human meter SS too, and just note down on the SS when you put in a pet meter BG.
Keep asking lots of questions. We are happy to help you and know how overwhelming it is in the beginning
