Spread Sheet - you gotta' be kidding me...

Not making excuses - I am a brain tumor survivor and - let's just say that thinking and understanding is not my forte'. Here's a random sentence about making/using the spread sheet. It will probably make sense to you, but for me - it might as well be in a foreign language...

"The tabs at the bottom of the SS typically state "sheet 1", "labs", and "template". World/USs do not have templates due to the advanced formatting necessary to convert mmol/L to mg/dl".

This make absolutely no sense to me. I am gathering data, and storing it old school, with a piece of paper and a pencil.

Maybe one day I will get this, and convert my data. Maybe.

If you want help, I know @Bandit's Mom will often aide new members in setting one up. I get the frustration on the spreadsheet, but it helps folks here see what’s up so they can advise you better if that’s something you are interested in.

If not, no worries, it’s not for everyone and every cat and cat person has their own approach!

Bruce -
If you are in the US, you do not need to worry about the World template spreadsheet. That template is for members who are outside of the US and their glucometer readings are in a different format. The World template converts their numbers to the measurement system we use in the US.

Hi Bruce
As was already said you don’t need to worry about a world sheet, but here’s a visual translation of what was written. If you look at my spread sheet below I’ve drawn sloppy arrows pointing at tabs for the years, the lab test tab (mine is blank) and the template tab. The template is used to make a new sheet for each year. You don’t have to do that, someone can make it for you but I think you said someone already made you a spread sheet?
First here’s the screen shot

see the tabs at the bottom? That’s all the first part of the paragraph was saying. The second part was letting world users (NOT you) know that they wouldn’t have a template tab. That’s all. Ok?

So in your last post I explained how to fill out a sheet starting at the left most column with the date and moving to the right—do you remember that? I’m happy to go over it with you but first

—do you have a blank spreadsheet already made for you—it was probably made by @Bandit's Mom or @Marje and Gracie. I want to help you fill it in but first I need to know that you have one. It’s ok if you don’t, someone can make it for you just let us know if you have it.

once you have the spreadsheet maybe we can connect via private message and I can help you fill it it. I think creating a spreadsheet may be a bit complicated for you considering your medical challenges but you can fill it in, I promise you! So let’s get you started on it before you’ve got a huge backlog of analog (paper and pencil) data to fill in. Also, congrats on having data, that means some progress on the ear sticking so yay to that also.

@Bandit's Mom or @Marje and Gracie did you already make a spreadsheet for Bruce? If so where would he find it? If not could someone please make him one?

I’m sorry this was unclear. I developed this set of SSs so if you can make a suggestion that would help the wording, I’d appreciate it. I’m not sure how to make it more clear as we only use two kinds of SSs: US and World. And I mentioned the World SSs don’t have a template. If you need any SS assistance, please just PM me directly. I’m happy to help.

Oh, there is nothing wrong with it - and I appreciate your taking the time to make it. I was just saying that it will take ME a long tome to get this - (but I will!)
