Spot's in house test

Took Spot for a blood drawl today. They forgot they were supposed to send it out to a lab, so the ran an in house test...lucky for Spot they had enough of blood to do both tests. Bad news is that their results showed that his platelet level dropped from 55 to 50, so there is something going on there..... :cry: We have to wait, at least a week, before the results are back. I was hoping with all the positive vines and positive thinking would help and that the previous results were just a fluke, but now it looks like I need to think about being proactive and start looking at causes and options. Positive vines are still being accepted tho!!!

Hi Deb and Spot,
Thinking good thoughts for my favorite spice man and sending vines, too. Did they send the tests out anyway? Or did you have to have another blood draw?

Thanks, guys! Ann, not sure what the next step is at this point. I'm going to put a shout out to FDMB folks who have/had kitties that had/has cancer and/or leukemia and see treatments they did.
Ella, the pulled enough blood from him that they had enough to send out to the lab. I appreciate all the vines and white lights and prayers. Hopefully a miracle will happen, it's been done before!

I'm so happy I can hardly contain myself!!!!!!!! Took Spot to get his blood drawl for the out of office blood test yesterday, they sent them out last night and got the results faxed to them today. Just heard from the vet..........PLATELET COUNT IS 250!!!! She is not sure why there was such a difference (they forgot they were supposed to send the sample out and did an in house test too, and his count was 50), but she feels confident in the lab's results. She will be in contact with the lab specialist as soon as she can to have a conversation with them, but at this time, it seems like a HUGE miracle has happened.

Spot and I want to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers, and white lights because they sure did work!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!
 
YAY!!! Great news! That's twice today I get to do the elation dance!!
