Hi everyone: I've never done this before but I spaced Desi's 8p dose! We tested and took the dog for a walk and then I just forgot about it! So I gave him the dose almost 90 minute late! I didn't give as much as I have but I'm not sure I did the right thing. What should I have done (in retrospect)? What do others do?

It's really not a problem that you shot him late, Korynn ... just keep in mind that in the morning at the usual AMPS time, he will have had an hour and a half less time on the clock since that pm dose, so some of tonight's dose could conceivably still be in his system if you don't (or work schedule won't permit you to) move the shot time forward some. Like maybe 45 minutes later than usual, for example.

Hi again: I feel like we are stuck. We'd like to see Desi's numbers go down, but when we increase the dosage, he seems to start to bounce. So I lowered the dose back again. Any advice? We can't seem to consistently get him out of the yellow. Arg. Outside of numbers, he seems robust and alert, etc. Not peeing or drinking excessively.

I can't help with the reason why Desi does it, but I know my kitty Baco also was stuck a long time in her yellows and pinks. But at one point it stopped, just like that. I've been told that a kitty stops bouncing.....when it stops bouncing. It's frustrating I know, but don't let it get you down!
I hope someone will come along for you!

@Rachel @Robin&BB can you help Desi with some advice?

Hey Koryann, it looks like Desi needs more juice but to really know that for sure, you will need to get some night time test in. If you could get a +2 after his PMPS it will tell you how active the cycle is going to be so you can be prepared. And if you could get another one in before you go to bed that would be helpful to fill in some of the pieces to the puzzle. And anytime through the night if you were to get up to go to the bathroom, grab one then as well. The data is so valuable to know how to dose.

About the bouncing, it is something that you can't stop, like Ruby said, it stops when it stops. But, when it does happen, lowering the dose is not the answer. All you can do is wait for it to clear and sometimes it is 6 cycles or three days.

I'm with Bobbie. I think you probably need more juice, but some more numbers would surely help. Grabbing extra tests whenever you can would be super helpful. Could you maybe run a curve this weekend? That way we can see if he just surfs the whole time.
