Hi folks,

I haven't been around here much for some time. Long story short -- while Boo is still in remission, he's had some other serious health issues arise, necessitating a feeding tube and drug treatment. We're trying to get him back to eating, but the only thing he's willing to eat is high-carb dry food. :? What's worse is that two of the many vets he's seeing right now are dry-food pushers, even for diabetic cats. Fortunately, his naturopathic vet sees through this nonsense.

One of the vets has asked me if I can provide him with some material that demonstrates that wet-food diets are healthier for diabetic cats than are dry-food diets. He's all about the "evidence-based" thing, rather than the "people who do this actually understand what's best" approach, sigh. Can anyone point me to some published sources that provide support for wet over dry / low-carb over high-carb foods? Thanks!
