Buddy's sores come and go like the weather, which sometime we think might be the cause. Other times in may be environmental but only at certain times, another one is food (poultry). Which we have been told by others experiences, yet also being told it can be mood and other medical relations.
They appear around his neck, above his eyes and just under the ears on his head. The latest on was pretty bad and was about 2 X 3 inches on the right side of his neck. It is now healing and crusting, we are keeping it clean and making sure there is no infection. But now, another sore just started up on his right side over his eye. This is the usual spot problem areas.
There are no fleas (unless they are ninjas) to be found, I do not use cleaners when mopping, I do not spray around the house. If its laundry detergent how can this effect a kitty, residue can remain on clothes I suppose and not effect humans? I use yesterdays news for litter.
So far everything for cause is this or that, etc. For now I guess we just need to treat them and make sure they heal faster. I would love some input for prevention, my vet is at a loss on what to do next.
We were going to use Atopica, is this stuff safe for FDB kitties? We are not using Pred anymore for the time being because we believe this is what made him DB.
Thanks,
Mike & Bud
