My Baby's ears are very sore, she hates it when i poke her. What can I do about this??

Also, she has developed a lump under the skin on the back of her neck where i shoot her. What can i do about that??

Sarah, it might help if you rub some neosporin on her ears after you poke them. Some people do that and say that it helps the bruises to heal quicker. You can also use most of the entire edges of the ears so that gives you more places to poke.

There are also other places you can inject the insulin. Do you use both sides of the scruff now? You can also shoot in the flank area. Please post a message in PZI and ask. I know that some of the people there have been using alternate sites for shooting recently, and not only does it give the kitty's sore areas time to heal, but they have also noticed an improvement in BG numbers when a new area is used.

Sarah,

I shoot Musette in the side, while she is eating I just pet her a couple of times down her side and then tent the skin right between her hind leg and her ribcage and shoot there. I use the right side in the morning and the left side in the evening. Since you are aiming for just under the skin you can use anywhere on Baby's body that you can get enough loose skin to pull up and tent.
