I called my vet's office to ask how much a box of U40 syringes were. Well, they said they didn't sell them! Not sell U40's when you prescribe U40 insulin? And dumb me forgot to ask the vet about it today when I was there. I think someone didn't know what they were talking about. Whoever was on the phone said Wal-Mart sold them. I said no they don't. They only sell U100's. I wish I would have remembered to ask the vet. Dang!

I would definitely call back and ask the vet. If they are handing out U100 needles withPZI, I sure hope they include the conversion info.

I hope they are telling people about the conversion chart too...that is scary!
We buy the U-40 syringes from Hocks much cheaper than anywhere else especially the vet's office.
I have plenty right now thanks to DCIN donation, helped me out a lot.

She also said that you need to buy the syringe that goes with the insulin. When I told her it was PZI 40 units she didn't know what to say. Someone who shouldn't answer the phone. Some techs are not very knowledgleable. Like me I can't spell that word.
