We took Snickers to the vet because his eyes are turning brown. Reading about it online, this can be a sign of serious problems.
All the tests look good. Liver fine, kidneys fine, eye pressure normal. Tomorrow I'll get the result of the Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids test, but he gets the vaccines so the vet doesn't think it's that.
We have never been able to get his glucose regulated. For a brief time his numbers were going low and we were reducing his dose, then his numbers started going up again.
The vet said he needs his teeth cleaned - he's "stage 2." Could that be part of the problem? We're going to get it done as soon as we can.
He is completely switched to canned food, and really enjoying it now. His appetite increased when his numbers went back up.
Does anyone feed Friskies pate? I have a box of it that I bought. We've been feeding Fancy Feast pate and Sheba pate, I worry that adding Friskies will cause a problem somehow.
I am really frustrated and worried. I don't know what to do.
