She swam in the ocean last night- lovely blues when I got home and all through the night :-D .

I can't tell if she is eating more or not- I go through 1 1/2 cans a day of 5.5 oz but no raw for the time being. I worry when I don't see big poop everyday but I have to remind myself that she isn't eating 20 oz any more so she won't have big ones until she starts eating a lot more.

I check for ketones every three days or so.

She usually only gets half her medicine at night, mixed in with the tuna juice as she will only eat half of it- but she gets the whole she-bang during the day. I've got to figure out how to give her the medicine when I'll be out of town in October. Should I mix it in her food when i freeze it like the mirilax? It has to be split into thirds and it is a powder- i feel like a doper when I use a razor to separate it out into three piles  .

She is too big for her poke stool now- she used to curl daintily on it now she just spawls with her legs and tail hanging over the sides  . I'll have to take a picture.

Yeah, you have to get a photo.

How long will you be gone? The only thing I would worry about is if freezing the meds (in the food) will "kill" it or not. Don't know. If it's powder, probably not, but it's better to ask. Is it all powder/dry stuff? COuld you put it into dose sized amounts in one of those daily pill box thingys? The it could be added to her food after that thaws at feeding time.

Its gaba and a dry powder.

I'll be gone Friday night through Sunday night so mom will test/shoot for me. It would have to be partitioned out already.

I'll have to catch her tomorrow as she likes to hang out at the food bowl area from 4 to 5 on the offchance she will get something to eat  . I'm sure no one else has that problem, do they  ;-) ?

I free feed mine, but test/meds/treats were/are always on a schedule - and if I am late for either the am or pm ones, one of my torties comes and gets me. She is very impatient and insistent. And prompt.

Grayson usually believes that any time I'm home, and walking around, it MUST be feeding time! And God forbid, when we're shooting later, as in NOW, he is quick to remind me that DINNER TIME is at 6:30 - and he expects two cans!!! Kinda hard when shooting at 8:15, but it is, what it is.

Oh joy... birds in the attic... sounds like one heckuva party going on... gotta run!

How'd they get in the attic? Hope they are easier to deal with than a couple dozen box elder bugs. My place is getting overrun by the darn things - I guess because of the very warm spring and summer. Now I guess I have to actually vacuum them up or spray them with soapy water. I hate killing things that are only trying to live their intended life....

Ahhh... box elders. I think I brought some back from Minnesota when I visited my sister. Had never seen them here, but they were EVERYWHERE! I finally sprayed them. Felt terrible, but they were in the electric panel box, the phone box (on the side of the house), in the windows & screens... Ugh!

Having roof work done, so there are some openings that apparently were too hard to resist. Hopefully wrapping that up soon!!!

Back to Sneakers - Heather, she must've been sending messages to Grayson... NO MORE PANCAKES!!! cat(2)_steam    He had a blue last night, and 6 hours today! Woo Hoo! We'll take them!

Glad to hear that Lu. I know your back is hurting so at least Grayson did something nice number- wise.

I have bird in my attic, too. They are, more or less, permanent citizens until I can get the flashing redone  .
