She is doing well this last week- she has been enjoying outdoor time as I do yard work and showed a little interest in the catnip plant I bought (nuzzled it twice and then went in to eat :lol: )

She had two good days of blues, then a day of yellows followed by blues- so I dropped her dose to 14u (from 15u) and we shall see.

I've started to change over from the Micro to the Vital (ADW version of the Prime) as the strips are cheaper- which will save me $20/month on the automatic reorder from ADW. It has been really close to the Micro and has been lower at all times so far but once. I'll work out the % difference chart when I get the time- some rainy evening that I don't have to do school work I suppose.

is it me or are those blues colored like yellows? And if so, is it a planso Sneakers doesn't realize she's left the yellow zone? I use the Vital as well - replaced a Relion Confirm for just that reason. Though I don't like the strips quite as well - sometimes they just don't sip like they should....it still is half the price of the Confirm strips.

I just have to remember to order in a timely manner - because if I understand it right - the strips aren't interchangable between the Prime and the Vital - is that right?

Oops! I was doing it in a real hurry this morning to update before I left for work. changed them now. It won't auto color when you have two lines.

No- not interchangeable as they are two totally separate strips. I did have the 5 pack of micro strips auto-shipped at a 45 day interval. The discount to auto-ship covered about 90% of the shipping so they were about $72.58 instead of $78+. I'll set the vital strips on auto-ship once I get down to the last bottle- with the 45 days it would ship by the time I opened the last bottle and be there in plenty of time. Only when I started school again did I test less- instead of 7 times a day it went to 5 times a day.

Mine quit autocoloring a while ago and I figured I'd screwed up something so I just do it myself...I'm glad to hear there is a reason behind why it won't.

I actually went with the autoship 90 days this time by accident but it probably is the smartest way to go. I do hope I can make these strips last a bit longer though....trying to be more patient with the drop and perhaps not testing just because she's up on the desk looking for attention. And if I was to run short I can always change meters.

Just FYI, the Vital and the Prime strips are the same, I have used both strips in both machines. Walmart is cheaper unless you are on auto ship or buy 200 w/free vial. Buying 1 or 2 or 3 is cheaper at Walmart. But if you use the Vital and it's an emergency, you can use the Walmart Prime strips in your Vital. When I had strips for both, I made it a point to see if I could use either in either one, just in case. :thumbup

Wow - thanks Deb....I'm really glad to hear that because that was my only worry....that I was stuck waiting for the Arkray to arrive.

Oh- I thought you were asking if the Relion Micro strips were the same as the Relion Prime strips- no, they aren't.

But yes you are right- the Prime strips and the Arkray Vital strips are the same.

No worries - if they'd just name the meters consistently (not to mention the darn strips) life would be a whole lot easier, wouldn't it? And don't get me started on the syringe thing....I need to donate a whole box of supposed to have half unit markings but didn't to the cause one of these days.
