Sneakers is doing well- still having trouble finding her right dose- 20u is too low and 23u is too high and causes her to start swinging upwards. I have decided to wait for 5 days to move up instead of her normal 3.

Upped her gaba to 1/2 pill BID instead of 1/3 BID and the change is noted! She is more alert, gets down to follow me more, gets up on the couch more... big difference.

Eating normal- around 8 ounces, usually less; lb action normal; still doesn't play much but accepts any and all skritches as due diligence  .

As I couldn't make the stairs I lowered my bed by removing the frame and now it is low enough she will clamber up without too much problem and spends more time sleeping on the bed than on the floor.

As long as they can come and go off the bed, that seems to make everything right with their world.

And they can continue to *pretend* everything is completely normal. Well as long as eating and lb is normal.

If only we could be so serene about things.

That's great that she can get on the bed. Don't ruin your back getting in and out of bed though. I remember my last move, the bolts to my bed frame got lost so I had to put the mattress on the floor and it nearly killed me to get down on it and back up again.

Um, stupid question, but did you think of trying 21u or 22u...?

Yes- I did those but upped to the next after the 3 days- which is why I am giving them a full week to settle.

Last night she had a slight fur shot- who knows how much, and mom gave her 3u extra... this morning she was 379. . Test again- other ear- 442   :? I had no clue as mom didn't leave any notes.

So I emailed mom this morning and found out about the fs and am relieved her food ingredients didn't change. So... she either had very little insulin last night (PS 263) or she had extra insulin, dipped low and this is a bounce (didn't test at 1 b/c I was walking sideways when I fed her so don't know if she was low or high- but she didn't eat much of her food in either case) OR  she didn't get enough insulin and the 'shed' emptied, and this is the result. Either way, back to day one...

Walking sideways...?

My brain is fuzz - none of that made sense - except she is back at day one - well, no she isn't! On day one you would have had no clue what to do next and no data to point the way. Today you have data and a good idea what to do. This is just a blip on the screen.

I was walking sideways  .

That happens sometimes. I think my inner ear thinks it is still laying on a pillow and I am literally walking sideways. I've tried testing her a time or two when I'm like that and I end up getting blood over everything and once I nearly fell on her- so I don't test when that happens. it isn't often but it does happen.

Reminds me of the time I fell asleep in paint fumes. The cracked windows weren't cracked enough, apparently, and it wasn't pretty or comfortable at all.

Oh, sounds like an inner ear problem. Might be "BPPV" (benign paroxysmal positional vetigo) where little debris crystals float through your ear canals setting off false positional information that conflicts with reality and makes you dizzy. If you Google "BPPV" and look at images most of them are mine, or rip-offs of mine. But here is a link to my original client's website: http://www.dizziness-and-balance.com/disorders/bppv/bppv.html if you are interested in reading up on it.

The nausea and vertigo feeling I do get- which is why I say I feel like I am walking sideways- and when it happens i can have the vertigo and nausea until about mid-day and then it goes- might be reoccurring once or twice at one time. It comes and goes but isn't a constant thing. Usually happens 5 or 6 times a year.

I thought I was just weird  .
