I said goodbye to my Smokey a a little after noon. It was very peaceful. My dog Raggy was at our sides. I refuse to leave the vet with only an empyr carrier. He rapidly went down hill from yesterday. I adopted him when he was already diabetic, about seven years ago.

I only said goodbye to mist the 28th of January. Tomorrow will also mark a year since I said goodbye to Tonis, and a year before that to Twigie. I remember those dates since traffic is messed up on the way to/from the vets because of a St Patrick's day parade.

I'm SO sorry it was Smokey's time to cross and so close to Misty's crossing. That just makes our heart's pieces harder to find 'cos they're broken twice. We've lost so many lately. THANK YOU for loving her so much.

Fly free little one...find my Nuisance with the funny nose, you'll get lots of love there too...

What a sweet picture. Thank you for posting it. You and Smokey have been through a lot. That picture just shows a sweet kitty. They hide things so well and we are terrible at it. Sending prayers for your comfort and to remind Smokey to visit and let you know he's ok.

Dear Larry,

This is so sad to read this afternoon as I just signed on. I am so very, very sorry that you lost your Smokey boy. What a handsome little man he was. I hope he will find all the other kitties we have all lost, so recently, and even so long ago, that are truly waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge.

My Smokey died on July 17, 2009, and I know how your heart is hurting since you just lost your Misty so recently. You have done so much for so many, and you are very blessed to have such a loving and giving and kind heart. Especially blessed, are all the animals you have helped and loved for so many years.
