Smelly Poops

Sarah's poops seem to be more smelly and alittle darker is this normal. Is it because of the insulin.
 
Smelly and darker poops are often caused by a food change. This should clear up in a week or two.

Did you recently change the food?

I've not heard that giving insulin has an effect on the poop smell or color.
 
I agree with the smelly poops. That has been the case with my Maggie ever since I found out about her diabetes and changed her food from dry to wet. And she doesn't seem to cover it up like she did. Does anyone else have that problem of not covering. Really gets smelly. On another note, I am having to renew her Lantus for the first time and was shocked at the increase in price. Over $100 more than when got it in July '13. And that is with a coupon. Has anyone tried getting it through Canada? Thanks for any advice.
