Slight twitching?

I have noticed that Prince twitches every so slightly. Maybe I am being hypervigilant, but it makes me a little nervous. Anyone seen anything like this before?
 
I haven't figured out if it is a certain time. I stare at him sometimes to make sure he is ok/check his breathing/see if he is twitching and I notice it then. It is sometimes a slight paw twitch but I have also noticed his head will also twitch just a tiny bit. My husband says he doesn't notice. It was a lot more when I first brought him home from the hospital after his diagnosis but it seemed to disappear. I have only just noticed it since.

He still just doesn't seem quite his old self. I'm sure he is annoyed with me because I am always poking and prodding him-I am hoping it is not that he doesn't feel well.
 
My old cat Arthur does that too. My friend noticed when she was over here as well. I am not sure what causes it though.

Both my cats have done it at time

Tiggy did it for a while and no idea why but it went away - i wondered if it was nerve related to high BG - this may be Prince's case since his BG isn't yet under control and may also explain why he isn't his normal self. It should resolve though once his BG is under control.

Bailey does it from time to time and I suspect its minor seizures due to him being sick for so long and having what I suspect was serious DKA prior to me getting him

Long story short - keep an eye on it. Keep a diary and try and see how often he does it and when. And chat to the vet once you have data. and lets get his BG under control too.
 
Mikey has done this since he started on Lantus. His skin will actually ripple and roll along his sides/flanks where I shoot him. Sometimes his ears, head, and tail will twitch a little, too. More rarely his feet. My vet doesn't seem too concerned about it and I'm fairly certain he's just more sensitive to the Lantus than perhaps other cats because I swear he can feel the Lantus "sting" when I give him his shots even though he's not on a high dose. I'm switching him to Levemir next week and if the twitching stops, then my suspicions will be confirmed.
 
Same here,Bailey has this too,he has had it since being diagnosed,so I do think if it was anything untoward it would of manifested itself by now.
 
People get little erratic twitches too - like an eyelid, or the jerk as you're falling asleep. If it is infrequent and no harm seems to come to the cat, I'd put that on a list for an eventual vet appointment, but probably not an emergency.

If you were to see increases in frequency, duration, area, and/or severity, then I'd go to the vet because of that.
 
i noticed this earlier today with larry. his little eyes would blink/twitch twice, then his ears. then it would stop. then in a few mins he would do it again. went on for a little bit. scared me, i was afraid he was going to have a seizure, or was having little ones. finally he laid down and fell asleep.
