just wanted to confirm, the general concensus here is not in support of sliding scale?

I'm just trying to plan ahead, assuming one day mr b will be too low for his dose and i'll have to leave for work. Does anyone here do sliding scale or reduced doses for situations like that? Thanks

In the beginning, I think most of us would urge you to stick with the same dose. A change to that might be if you get a 200 pre shot, you'd shoot less than the dose you'd shoot for a 500. Is that what you mean? Check the Advanced Options sticky that Kris mentioned. - it has info on sliding scales and stalling/reducing doses for lower preshots.

Hi Jen,
A new document has just appeared above the Stickies on the main ProZinc page. You'll find info about using a sliding scale when conditions allow.

re: your question on your spreadsheet - the Relion Confirm is the same the same technology as the Relion Micro and both are made by Arkray USA.
Also, see my signature link on glucometer and lab reference values.

Once you have some good data (a couple weeks may do it) to show how your cat typically responds to a given dose of insulin from a given starting level, you will be able to estimate the amount of drop and the rate of drop for a dose level, then use that to begin developing a sliding scale.
