Hi

Concerning a low PS value, SLGS says, "Between 150 and 200, you have three options: a.) give nothing; b.) give a token dose (10-25% of the usual dose); c.) feed as usual, test in a couple of hours, and make a decision based on that value."

This may be a stupid question, but if I feed, wait 2 hours, and get a BG# I'm going to shoot, doesn't that throw the entire schedule back 2 hours from that point on?

If I'm usually testing at 10 am but feed and wait until 12pm to shoot, then I'm stuck waiting 12 hours later until midnight. This could easily get out of control with your new "normal" shooting time becoming 2 am.

Thoughts?

Yes, it does throw the schedule back 2 hours. You can work back in half hour increments. So tomorrow shoot a half hour earlier. Then the next day the same. In four days you are back to normal. Or do 15 minutes each cycle.

Another option is to wait 20 minutes, don't feed and test again. See if the numbers are rising. That may help in the decision making process to shoot or not.
