Hi everyone! Quick question..
Kitty is 147 amps. I'm not going to give his shot. Do I have to wait until his night time shot now? Or can I give his AM shot in a few hours when he starts to go up from eating? Then wait the regular 12 hours from whatever time I would give the AM shot?
Know what I mean?
First time having to skip so I'm unsure. Thanks!

You have a few options, depending on how much you can monitor:
  1. stall without feeding and restest in 20 minutes or so to see where he is, repeat in 20 minute increments up to 60 minutes. If he gets above 200, give a reduced dose (1 u?) because you have no history of these situations yet;
  2. follow your plan above but then your schedule will be way off and you'll be backtracking for a few cycles - not ideal;
  3. skip this shot. This is the safest option but might be the one you have to go with if you try #1 and he stays too low.

Ok. I am at work now. Won't be back home for about 5 hours. I expect him to be high from morning meal. So if I give a shot at say 3pm. My next shot will be 3am. Is it ok to just stay with that schedule without backtracking? Those times actually work better for me anyway.
I didn't know if I could just just switch things up like that

If those times work better for you, go for it. :)
