skip shot vs. reduced dose-got answer thx

I have an event planned for Saturday. The AM shot will be given on time but I will not be home until PM +4 or later. That was too big of a spread to slowly move the shot time.

My question is:
1. should I skip the shot
2. should I give 1/2 the dose just so the shed doesn't drain. With this option I would have to shoot at my regular time the next morning meaning there would be an overlap.

Thoughts? Thanks

Re: skip shot vs. reduced dose

Usually we skip if it is more than 2 hours past shot time. If you do shoot the new shot time would be 12 hour later not your regular shot time, And it should be the full dose, not a reduction. That would be like a double reduction (once for being late and then the reduced dose.)

It would probably be safer to just skip and consider it a fur shot.

ECID but when I have to be gone 8 hours right after Tess's shot time I usually skip and feed realy LC food. She seems to get back on track quickly.

hope you're at least getting to do something fun, carolyn!

do you want me to drop by the harness & leash, or are you coming this way anytime in the near future? i have another dentist appt near you on wednesday the 19th - actually i could come through on saturday late in the day also and just leave it on your porch if you're gone.
