First condo For those visiting for the first time, Sir Rumpy just joined us June 10th. His first MamaBean was posting here also. A link to his previous spreadsheet is top center of mine below - 3u Lantus dose.

AMPS 168
+5 - 96 :D:D:D

Good afternoon Fans!! As our title says, it's Sir Rumpy's first 'walk-about' day! WOOT WOOT! First I have to share a scare he gave us this morning AND why we have an AMPS of 168! We get up, head down the hall and hummm....Rumps isn't hollering. Say Morning Grumps, still nothing....now I get concerned and half run. Closer I get to his area, the more I can see NO RUMPS! Crate door closed, I KNOW that blanket's too flat but heck, by now I'm looking in the litter box knowing he can't hide in it. OH CRAP! Holler at hubby - he starts hunting and calling. I'm grabbing treat bag shaking it.....still nothing! I KNOW he can't get out of the house so he's hidden in one of a thousand hidey holes around here. Won't make a sound even to treat bag. OK Lyresa - breathe and THINK....ah ha - first hidey hole he'd find would be under the sideboard. It's blocked but there's one little 6" spot that's not...WHEW!!! I FIND HALF STRESSED OUT CAT! The only thing I don't like about this huge crate is it's 'lift door' rather than a bolt to throw. I evidently didn't get the door in the slots...NOW he's figured out that door, he spent the next hour in there rattling it to see if he can get it to open again.

And NOW the next excitement! Right below you'll find a link to his BEAUTIFUL spreadsheet! Yesterday he was much more comfortable, no more hissing and growling, others come up to his kennel, just cautions and curious rather than scared. As that stress drains away, just LOOK at that perfect slide right down into the normal range on Levemir f.25units yesterday! PMPS had a bit of snack in it and even with that, it was a beautiful 114! TODAY, he's already green at +5!!! He's eating well, all P's in place altho' 'play' isn't full engaged yet - very understandable!! Ketones negative also. He's still completely down on his hocks, he's bunny hopping which makes me sad. I started B12 when he arrived but that will just take time to resolve.

It's now just past +5, he's already got his green vest on and is ready to Dance!!!

HUGS to all that visit!!!! Please leave a comment to encourage goofy boy!

Oh what a scare that must have been! My girl, before she was dx, figured out how to open a very heavy patio door by repeatedly pouncing against the door frame opposite the side that opens and went for a stroll taking her little brother with her. They were like little Las Vegas tourists walking up the side of the house when we found them! Menace definitely lives up to her name. The things they can do when they set their minds to it!

Now dear Mr. Rumps, please don't go scaring your new Mommy like that. You are doing so well and making her proud of you so don't misbehave..K? Just keep up the good working that juice.... but no shark hunting! :D

While his numbers are going down, I guess your BP went up this morning! Those kitties, always looking for something....:)

Oh yeah! I was even lifting his blanket that I could SEE was flat on the floor!

We weren't concerned he'd gotten outside - I have a steel solid rule that there are always at least 2 closed exits between any animal and 'freedom'. Prior to any kennel, bedroom, area being opened, another 'gate' of some kind goes up in place of that door. Even our outside dog run areas are double fenced. Not only does it alleviate one big concern/worry, with the rescue work we do, we never know what the previous problem was that caused any cat or dog to end up with us.

Thanks for your visit too!

It's always panic time when you can't find them, but you know they couldn't get out. I'm glad you found him quickly. Nice to see green today.

.....AND.....drumroll please................

Ready? Sitting down?

Lev F.25u +8 = nah....I'll let this speak for me:

I'm now dropping the fat off that dose. The reason for doing that - I'm establishing a new solid depot with him now on Levemir. As he gets more comfortable and fully meets/no barriers, the others, and as days pass, those numbers will continue to come down. I don't want him to run too low normal yet - give him a safety net. That fat drop on there in yesterday's and this morning's dose will still be affecting things for another 2 and 2 1/2 days.

Today's PLANNED Walk-about got cut short when thunderstorms rolled in. He's terrified of thunder per Shelly and yep he is. He's settled down now in his kennel cuddled in his blanket. More storms will be starting shortly and will continue the next 3 days. I'm not sure how much progress we'll make but we'll keep working on it!

Rumpers sends ROREREWERR ...repeatedly!

Oh my Lyresa, what a frantic way to wake up! I can imagine the whole thing, you're a great story teller! How many times did you check under the flat blanket? LOL!
Too bad about the thunder storms, poor Rumpy, but hopefully he'll feel safe in his kennel with his blankie and you there to comfort him. :bighug:
Have a really good evening. :)

Mr. Grumpy Rumpy closes out another beautiful day with a PMPS of 104 - still sailing along in that beautiful normal range! The thunder finally moved out of here a short time ago, he's curled up in his blanket catching up on his sleep. Between his early morning adventure and thunder all day, he's got lots of catch up on. I did drop that fat off his dose tonight.

His beautiful spreadsheet again: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1wA5Iy3GTAWrmLFqA11FmaPO9VDi9w3ngsozLP1zJ0vQ/edit?usp=sharing

Hugs to all that visited us today - I DID check the cage door very carefully!

Sir Rumpy says 'zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz' :)

This post makes me so happy for the big guy. So glad he’s adjusting and his spreadsheet is gorgeous. Has he seen the other critters yet? Can’t wait to hear a about his adventures today

Sir Rumpus Bumpus sends morning greetings to his fan club - VERY LOUDLY! :)

AMPS 145

No wild scrambles this morning - I hollered 'Morning Grumps', he promptly holler back 'Heck with Good Morning! Bring me FOOD!' At least he was in his kennel! :) He's no longer laying at the back - he's up front ready to rock with the world. I've changed his shot location to front flank - he's already figured it out and lays over a bit when I start to roll skin. His scruff is full of tough muscle and is hard to shoot into the fatty layer. KT didn't care, Dakota disliked anything but scruff now Romper Stompers prefers flank.

He has met everyone thru the kennel sides now - not without yet. We won't get a lot of new adventures in today - I shop for the week on Mondays so will be gone the next few hours. Living in the middle of nowhere land, the nearest decent stores are about 22 miles away.

Sir Rumps is STILL sending out those greetings as I close this. :)

HUGS to all that visit today!!!!

Good afternoon Fans! ...hollers Sir Rumps and in case you missed it the first time, he'll holler it a couple more times just for you!

Here he is again doing that beautiful slide from an AMPS of 148 down into normal and even green with a 95! But REMEMBER - human meter 'normal' extends up to 120! I have dropped the 'fat', let's see what new dance steps he'll present us with now! It will probably be something really silly or we'll learn something weird like an Irish Step Dance. :) Nothing normal for Sir GrumbleButt! No sireee!

We got a big paws up with the new treats MamaBean could get here. No one now carries his original brand - these are Raw Bite toppers. He did have to smell them a couple of times to be sure 'dis lady wasn't trying to pull a sneaky on him or something... :)

OH OH OH! Not only can I pet that sweet belly he rolls around and shows me, I can blow raspberries on it! :) :) :) I iz happy MamaBean. ...<...looks around muttering "where's my 'heart' emoticon?"....>....!!

Until the next installment, we leave you with a hug!

Thank you for visiting!

I love kitty tummies!!!:cat::kiss::cat::kiss: That doesn't sound like he's a grumpy Rumpy.

Actually he's not 'grumpy' at all but he's very opinionated about everything...and wants the neighbors in the next block to know too.

This boy doesn't have a mean bone in his body - even hissing and growling, as upset as he was the first 24 hours and my still handling him, poking him, he never even offer to raise a paw.

Love it!

Hey hey hey, now hold on there. There is nothing weird about Irish step dancing....its a skill you know LOL.
I love all of this. So happy that mr. Rumpy is finally starting to trust you. He knows how special you are, he's "getting" it. :D:D

Ut oh...these new treats, while he'd turn flips for them, are not nearly low carb enough for him...<..insert big scowl here...>...shot him right up to 130 - YIKES! No more raw rabbit for Sir Rumps...poor baby - can't find wild boar, rabbit doesn't work, doesn't like freeze dried chicken or hearts. I go back to the replacement we used last week - thin sliced deli turkey...he approved.

I ain't tellin' him until I find some ear plugs... :)

Hey Lyresa, I'm in the Ozarks in SW Mo and I do believe I can hear the Rumpster from here

I have NO doubt whatsoever!

KT meowed like a normal cat, Doc was a NFC mix - his meow was very different, he 'quacked'. I teased him telling him he talked funny - he was a Yankee cat! He flew to me from Virginia 'From Dulles to Dallas'. Snowshoe (14 year old civie) is a talker - oh when they finally get comfortable together...I may move at least a mile away. :)

Wow Lyresa! I was away for a week and look what I missed. So happy that Sir Rumpy is settling in with you and all the Fuzzy Feetz.
Hugs to you and lots of scritches for your new boy.
:bighug::bighug::bighug: :cat:

With a PMPS of 131, we close out with those treats still poking at his numbers but also heading up toward end of cycle. He's now off dancing at the Full Strawberry Moon Party as all is very quiet here......zzzzzzzzzzz......... I didn't let him wear his green vest so his blue velvet cape will cast a regal presence...that he thinks he is. :)

Sleep will...join us again tomorrow morning!

This is like Christmas eve as a kid......can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring! :joyful: Thanks for sharing this happy tail with us! Hope Rumpy enjoys the party. Menace couldn't go tonight 'cause she's grounded for pilfering her brother's food yet again. :woot:

That's them...and they're lingering....I read more, seems rabbit is naturally higher carb and takes a bit to digest. Doc didn't react that way to Rabbit, fed Merrick Rabbit pate for many months.
They are 16% but i don't know how much 1-2 affect BG. They were what I put in the last turn of the feeder so there was something there (don't be cruel treat). Gizmo got 2. And he loved them.

http://www.felinecrf.org/dry_food_usa.htm

The only other "treat" he got and liked was the Purebite duck liver.

Frankie doesn't know what to do with either of them. He thinks they are toys and just bats them around the floor.:joyful:

ETA-pill pockets would skyrocket Gizmo's BG so, as everything, ECID.

Sir Rompus sends HUGE Morning greetings to his fans!! Several times even!

AMPS 168

Hey silly boy - that's sort of an ugly number this morning but MamaBean did expect it dropping that fat off the dose. I think he had a bit too much 'PARTEE' last night! As soon as I get everyone here settled for the day after food, potties, plays, etc, I'm opening the kennel and letting him decide if he wants to walk-about. I'll block all hidey holes (I hope... :) ), gate off the other end of the living room and 'let go'. He's ready to get OUT! I'm beginning to see a touch of improvement in his back legs - he did toe-up for 3-4 steps last night. That made my heart so happy!

Sir GrumbleButt did NOT want to sit still for test this morning - he was HUNGRY! We got TWO 'not enough blood' errors 'cos he wouldn't settle down. I was beginning to decide I had a bucking bronco instead of a cat. It STILL shocks me how strong he is - like a bull ox when he 'wants'.

We'll close out the start of the day and get ready for the next adventure!!!

Stay tuned fans! We WILL return... :)

And because I STILL haven't gotten my sig edited again, here's his bootiful spreadsheet:
